Filtronic,the Yeadon-based design and manufacturing company, has announced that it has secured two US-based projects with a combined value of £1.3m.
The business, which specialises in products for critical communications and wireless telecoms, has won a 16 month contract from a leading RF equipment supplier in the USA. It covers the design, development and delivery of high-performance mmWave modules for incorporation within the company’s next generation of over-the-air equipment.
A second project in the US will be undertaken with a leading High Altitude Pseudo-Satellite (HAPS) solution provider. Expected to take around 18 months to complete, it will covers the design, development and delivery of next generation, high-performance transceiver modules to enable high capacity HAPS to ground and inter-HAPS data transmission using E-band frequencies.
