Bradford logistics group expands in Czech Republic

Bradford-headquartered Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), an end-to-end supply chain firm, has posted sales of more than £75m for 2018 following expansion of its overseas operations.

The company announced the opening of a new 6,400 sq m facility in the Czech Republic, in the Usti nad Labem region, having previously opened a base in the Middle East with air-side access at Dubai World Central Airport.

The international expansion, together with ASCG’s UK growth, is expected to result in sales revenue rising by more than £15m from last year’s total of around £60m.

Mike Danby, MBE and CEO of ASCG, said: “Since the result of the EU Referendum was announced, we have been making proactive investments across our business to ensure we are in the best possible position to continue to deliver without interruption for our customers.
“Despite the government not being much closer to an agreement around the specifics of a deal, we’ve continued to grow and our Czech base will allow us to drive further growth across mainland Europe.”

Danby added: “A number of our UK-headquartered ecommerce customers have expanded their operations across Europe in recent years so our new site allows us to support their European supply chains.

“For years we’ve invested in developing our own software so we can provide a bespoke omni-channel solution for each customer’s specific requirements. With technology at the core of everything we do, there are no boundaries to how we manage our customers’ global supply chains. Our new sites give us the physical footprint to ensure we can continue to support the seamless experience we’ve created online.”
