Deal to use supply chain technology expands consultancy’s global reach

SCALA, the Huddersfield-based supply chain and logistics consultancy, has entered into a new ongoing partnership with LLamasoft, a global supply chain software developer.

The deal will give SCALA and its clients access to LLamasoft’s market leading supply chain modelling technology.

Supported by experienced consultants, the technology enables businesses to accurately visualise their supply chain as well as allowing them to navigate rapidly changing market conditions, improve their service, helping to cut costs, and reduce risk.

The software will help SCALA to support clients to improve their decision-making, predict and manage how external and internal forces – such as the impact of Brexit, tariffs, changing customer expectations and the quest for sustainability – will affect their supply chain.

SCALA has ambitious plans for international growth, and the partnership will also enable it to compete with worldwide consultancies for major strategic projects, both in the UK and across Europe.

John Perry, Managing Director at SCALA, said: “Modelling and analytics software is one of the most important tools when it comes to helping businesses make informed decisions regarding their supply chain and logistics networks, and ensuring they are resilient to future business changes.

“Given its position as the industry-leader in supply chain modelling technology, we are delighted to be partnering with LLamasoft.

“The software will not only improve our modelling capabilities and enhance our offering to current clients, but will also help to solidify our growing reputation as an international consultancy.”
