E-commerce business targets European growth with £250,000 loan

A West Yorkshire e-commerce business is set to boost its European sales, thanks to a £250,000 loan from NPIF - Mercia Debt Finance.

Normanton-based Total Racking Solutions supplies shelving and racking across a variety of sectors, with customers including Costa Coffee, Ocado and the NHS.

The NPIF funding, which is managed by Mercia and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, will enable Total Racking Solutions to expand its current European offering.

The company, which currently operates websites in French and Italian, plans to use the funding to launch sites in other European languages. It also expects to create six new jobs for the 15-strong team to support growth.

Founder Keith Slinger commented: “Following the rapid growth of our business throughout Europe, we needed a quick funding solution and approached the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

“The Mercia team really understood our needs and responded very quickly - the whole process took just weeks from start to finish. The funds will help us to expand into other European countries and meet the growing demand.”
