European deal for Leeds logistics company

Leeds-based logistics business Clipper has secured a new three-year deal with online clothes retailer ASOS to handle European returns from its multi-user base in Poland.

The new contract with ASOS will begin in this month.

Initially for a three year term, the new contract is expected to create 350 new jobs at Clipper’s Poznan site in Poland, which also currently services the Westwing business.

Executive chairman of Clipper Steve Parkin, commented: "This new contract represents a major achievement in the delivery of our European expansion strategy.

"The Group remains focussed on winning new contracts with both new and existing customers, in both the UK and Europe, and we hope to update the market with further wins in the coming weeks."

Clipper has also recently won new contracts with retailers Links of London and Halfords, and has formalised a joint venture with John Lewis to provide a dedicated Click and Collect service designed for retailers.
