Wakefield based education recruitment firm m2r Education has been named as one of the Department for International Trade (DIT) Northern Powerhouse Export Champions for 2019.
Having been nominated by its international trade adviser following continued export success, current Export patron and managing director, Munir Mamujee, attended a prestigious event at Durham Castle with guests including The Rt.Hon Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for International Trade, and Baroness Fairhead CBE, the Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion at the Department for International Trade.
m2r Education is a multi award winning company, specialising in the supply of teaching staff to international schools, technical and further education colleges, English language centres and private companies across the globe.
The role of the Export Champions is to promote international trade and help companies who are thinking of exporting to take that next step.
Launching the Export Champion initiative Dr. Liam Fox MP said: “The Export Champion community is an important initiative and its members will play a vital role in creating the culture of exporting in Britain.
By raising the profile of exporters in this way, we will help to normalise exporting across the country, expand horizons, remove barriers to market access and facilitate businesses to expand here in the UK.”
Munir Mamujee, MD of m2r Education, commented, “it is a tremendous accolade for our company to be honoured in this way. We are one of a select group of organisations which have been recognised for their achievements and success in export sales. I never thought that when we first set up in 2001, that 18 years later we would be working across the globe with 100% of the revenue coming from our overseas work. It has been a huge effort by the team and one of which I am immensely proud. We look forward to helping new exporters achieve their ambitions by sharing our knowledge, our export story and offering advice.”
