OTTY Sleep, an online mattress retailer headquartered in Leeds, is expanding its overseas presence with the launch of a new European branch.

Founded in 2016, the company has announced that it will be open a virtual office and warehouse in Amsterdam.

The company’s Netherlands facility will run as a separate entity, handling its processing and shipping directly from Amsterdam with help from the Leeds HQ.

OTTY’s expansion into the Netherlands is the retailer’s second European venture, following on from its recent launch into Germany, assisted by the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
Founder and CEO of OTTY Sleep, Michal Szlas, said: “We first ventured into Europe earlier this year following the company’s success in the UK.

“Ultimately, the expansion has proved to be successful, and we’ve since seen potential customers from other European countries ask about our award-winning products.”

He continued: “We saw Netherlands as the next natural step, and are employing new members of the team to help accommodate the increasing demand.

“We’re very confident the Dutch venture will bring the same amount of success that we’ve already experienced in the UK and Germany.”

OTTY Sleep runs three UK distribution centres and employs nine staff members in total.
