Event Description :-
An event highlighting the opportunities and possible pitfalls of exploring the Chinese market, aimed at exporters in the Leeds City Region.
Featuring real life accounts of the challenges and opportunities involved in selling to China, a panel of seasoned exporters will look at the highs and lows. The live discussion will feature Huddersfield Town’s commercial director Sean Jarvis who will talk candidly about the club’s dealings with Chinese firms, including its £3m shirt sponsorship deal with Chinese gaming company Ope Sports.
The line-up will also include Dr David Mandley, CEO of medical device manufacturer TissueMed; and Richard Kaye, chairman and CEO of Fired Up Corporation in Huddersfield which has had its own manufacturing operation in China for the last 12 years. In addition, there will be panellists from global Leeds-based translation provider The Big Word, which has offices in China. The event will be compered by business journalist David Parkin.
There will also be an overview of funding currently available for export, research and trade missions.
