Turnover growth for Queen’s award winning IT consultancy

BJSS, a Leeds based IT consultancy which won a Queen's Award earlier this year, has increased its turnover by almost 40 per cent having opened new offices in the US which has driven growth there.

The company creates and supports large-scale digital transformation operations on behalf of the world's largest businesses.

For the year ending 30 April 2018, BJSS recorded a turnover of £116m, representing a 39 per cent rise from the £83.2m reported in 2016/17. Pre-tax profit was £26.5m, up from £19.5m the previous year.

Average employee numbers also increased by 35 per cent, from 573 staff in 2017 rising to 775 in 2018.

In April, BJSS received a Queen's Award for innovation, achieving recognition for its ' Enterprise Agile' software delivery method. The company has supported ambitious IT transformation projects around the world, including the re-engineering of the Spine, the NHS legacy for supporting digital healthcare infrastructure.

The company, which has a workforce of 600 technologists across its northern offices in Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham, recently joined the Northern Powerhouse Partners Programme.
