Wakefield recruiter strengthens ties in Middle East market

M2r Education, the West-Yorkshire based recruitment firm that specialises in the placement of teachers and trainers into international schools, FE colleges and language centres across the globe, is successfully exporting its services into Saudi Arabia.

As part of m2r Education’s ongoing work supplying teachers to organisations in Saudi Arabia, Account Manager Charlotte Watson recently became the first female member of staff to visit colleges in Saudi Arabia. Her trip, organised in association with the agency’s client, The Oxford Partnership which has been in Saudi Arabia for a number of years and operates four female FE colleges there, enabled Charlotte to gain an insight into the market by seeing the colleges first hand. She was also the first UK female recruiter to visit the colleges!

Charlotte’s visit included a tour of both Sakaka College and Arar College in the conservative north of the country where she was able to meet personnel from the HR department, teachers and students as well as sitting in on classes.

Charlotte said: “It was a truly fascinating experience and a fantastic opportunity to get a real feel for the country and its culture in order to better understand the recruitment needs of the colleges and also to be able to give our candidates a real insight into the opportunities presented by working in Saudi Arabia.”

m2r Education is a patron of ExportExchange, sharing its expertise with other businesses in the Leeds City Region seeking to trade overseas.
