Last weekend, a shipping container loaded with craft beers from Leeds and around the UK arrived in the USA, ready to star in the international Winter Session Beer Festival in Portland, Maine.

In September, the Maine Beer Box, which has room for 78 beers on tap, had been a centre piece of Leeds International Beer Festival. Following the event, it was packed with some of Yorkshire’s finest craft beers before heading back across the pond.

Yorkshire breweries taking part in the project included Leeds Brewery and Saltaire Brewery.
Maine Brewers’ Guild executive director Sean Sullivan said: “The representation of beer styles and UK breweries is great - from a classic British bitter to goses, stouts, porters, and pale ales.”
